Jewels have to be handled with care... semi-precious stones, glass, ceramics and clay are fragile and have to be treated delicately. However, despite all our gentleness, it happens that some cleaning becomes necessary. Hereafter, you will find a few tips to keep your jewels from Kapryka Bijoux almost as brand new !

    • Every jewel we send you comes in a protective organza pouch. If possible, leave your jewel in this pouch when you're not wearing it, and keep it safe from the light.
    • It would be also better to keep only one jewel per pouch in order to avoid beads clinking.
    • In the pouch, please don't twist the necklaces in order not to weaken the wire (even if it is doubled for added strength). You'd rather bending them in "round", as if you wanted to wear it as a bracelet.
    • Perfume drops, showers, salted or soapy water are enemies to your jewels, think about removing them. Generally speaking, please keep always in mind you should avoid water on your jewellery !
    • If your silver-plated metal loses its brightness (oxidation, yellowing), no worries, it happens ! Everything will shine again with a little help from a cloth specific for silver (available in drugstores, in some jewellers, music shops and department stores).
    • Please avoid toothpaste, salt and citrus to clean your jewel, it might stain or scratch the silver-plated metal.
    • For the wood beads, take silicon-free beeswax, but please be careful not to put wax on the rest of the jewel.
    • Semi-precious stones may be cleaned with baby wipes.
